Putnam County Justice Center – Cookeville, TN

Cope Architecture was hired to assist the County in evaluating potential expansions and renovations at the current justice center in downtown Cookeville. Due to the size and complexity of the facility, the county hired a construction manager, Bell & Associates, to build the facility and interact with the team from the design forward. The project includes additions and renovations to the Justice Center, along with two new parking locations. Renovations to the existing facility consists of upgrades to plumbing ad HVAC, cameras, cells, and the existing kitchen and equipment. The 485 bed addition that includes
general housing and special purpose cells, work release and trustee dorm rooms, medical and mental health areas, laundry, visitation, training, and indoor secure vehicle parking. There will be an elevated bridge to connect the new addition and the existing facility.
