A major goal of the Department of Energy and UT-Battelle was to modernize the Oak Ridge National Laboratory facilities. This modernization effort resulted in a number of new building projects, including the Research Support Center (RSC). Cope Architecture provided architectural services for this facility which won a prestigious AIA Honor Award. It is also a LEED Certified building.
