Middlebrook Pike State Office Building
Cope Architecture provided design services for the State of Tennessee on the Middlebrook State Office Building Project. This building was designed to address the storm water issues the project was having. New storm water piping was installed throughout the site and drained to Middlebrook Pike. Also included in the project was the removal and replacement of the asphalt parking lot, concrete curbing and sidewalks. These were replaced with ADA Compliant sidewalks and parking spaces. Landscaping was also a part of the project with old trees being removed along the front of the building and new more manageable trees being installed. The façade on the front was covered with metal panels and also in the lobby area. Old seating in the lobby was removed to allow open areas. Seating areas were installed in the front and rear of the building to provide a space for clients or employees to space outside of the building.
