Maryville High School Culinary Arts Building
Maryville City Schools hired Cope Architecture to renovate the existing Downtown Auto Body building adjacent to the high school property into space for their Culinary Arts Program. The new space will house all aspects of the Culinary Arts
programs including a classroom and teaching kitchen, grab-and-go concept area, as well as a kitchen and dining room for their popular Cafe Le Reve program. The project included extensive renovation to the existing block structure. Exterior walls were repaired and reinforced. The building received a new roof, new brick veneer, insulation and energy efficient storefront window systems. The interior was demolished to allow for new walls, finishes and kitchen equipment. ADA and code compliance upgrades were incorporated into the design. New HVAC, lighting, fire alarm and sprinkler systems were installed and existing site drainage issues were mitigated.
